PS Findings

There are many things in the game that add (or take away) PS. This page will list the PS findings that Niels has gathered over time.


All costs are the list costs (ie. in the manual, NOT on the recruit screen)

Remember that you can only attack people with PS between 85% and 117.5% of your PS.

  • Note: If you use this to calculate your PS, it will be horribly innacurate. However, this is VERY accurate for marginal changes, so in terms of "How much do I have to drop to avoid that attack?" or "How much of a penalty is ***?" or "How much will I grow if I do ***?", this guide is (nearly) completely accurate.


  • Units (except DoS): Cost/20
  • DoS: Cost/40
  • Unit Buildings: Cost/20
  • Other Buildings: Cost/50
  • Peons: 1.6 PS/peon [all classes]
  • Gold: Gold/120, activated at 120k gold (119,999 gold is 0 PS, 120,000 gold is 1k PS)
  • WF Time: hours/2 (Phil: no influence)
  • Exploration: -5/acre (Phil: -1/acre)
  • Levels: 50/level (Phil: 75/level)
  • Generals: 350/general (Phil: no influence)
  • ToK Techs: 1/"level" of the tech (eg. buying the Military Academy tech costs 4 PS) (Phil: cost/3000)
  • Unit Techs: cost/100
  • Win/Loss record: Do Not Know, but Gomi claims it is minor (Phil: got removed)
