KD Positions and Being the King

King

The king is elected (Kingdom -> Council buttons). The person with the most votes wins! You get a 10% bonus to your taxes, which is sweet. You can also do lots of things listed below (and delete posts on the ES).

Your Responsibilities

Very simply: You are responsible for the entire kingdom. The king has several (official) responsibilities that they are the only one able to do in the game, but it is usually (not always) implied that they are also the person who needs to lead the kingdom and give it direction.

Officially: You must set the kingdom tax. You must assign other council positions. You must set vault access. You may close slots and password the kingdom (so only those you want can enter the kingdom). You may change the kingdom name and banner.

Unofficially: You must organise everything and tell people what to do. You must tell merchants what items to buy and when they can use them. You must tell rogues who to Monitor Army regularly. You must give wizards guidelines on best MP useage.

In general, anything that needs organising in the kingdom, falls to the king. If in doubt, it's the king's responsibility.

Jester

The Jester gets a bonus 1-50 luck on each page load. Very nice for a second rogue as it will help out there ops a little. If you have no second rogue, use this on whoever is getting op-ed the most.

PS. reload your status page until you get a good bonus before you sign off... it'll help with your ops coming back in.

Army Commander

The army commander gets a 5% bonus to kidnapping. If the king is active, this should get shuffled around to whoever is going to win a battle next!

The AC also sends out trinity attack warnings automatically. Make sure you have an AC, or the attack warning will come from the person who launched the attack (and you don't want your enemy to know who is attacking him)

Warlock

The Warlock's INT is responsible for protecting the Kingdom from spells. This means that you should always have your person with the highest intelligence be the Warlock. (this is not in the manual, but I asked Gomi and he said that it works this way)

The Warlock also receives +10% TR bonus and a +10% higher chance that their spells will work. Pretty sweet!

Shadow Master

The Shadowmaster’s luck is responsible for protecting the Kingdom from Rogue Operations. This means that you should always have your person with the highest luck be the Shadow Master.

The Shadowmaster also receives +10% TR bonus and a +10% higher chance that their operations will work. Pretty sweet!
